Girls Basketball at Central
Mission
Our Girls Basketball program strives to provide our students with a unique experience that pursues both athletic excellence and growth in their relationships with Jesus Christ. Participating in our basketball program gives students an avenue to learn, develop, and utilize their God-given talents both on and off the court. Through teamwork, discipline, and competition we want our athletes to feel as if their experience helped prepare them physically, mentally, and spiritually for their personal journeys after they leave our program.
High School Basketball
Our Girls Basketball teams compete during the winter athletics season, with practices beginning in early/mid-November and playoffs beginning at the end of February. Depending on participation numbers, Central offers students the opportunity to compete at the Varsity, JV, C Team, and Middle School levels. Our basketball program participates in the Camden Conference, and a typical Varsity/JV season consists of 20-25 regular season games, and a holiday tournament.
Transportation is provided to all away events, and uniforms & practice jerseys are provided to all athletes, with the exception of socks and shoes.
Middle School Basketball
The Middle School Girls compete during the winter athletics season, with practices beginning on the first day after Christmas Break. A typical middle school season includes 8-10 games during January and February, with the possibility of an additional tournament.
Transportation is not provided for away events; however school does assist in organizing parent-provided transportation. Game and practice jerseys are provided. Players are expected to provide black basketball shorts, socks and shoes.
