Teaching for Transformation

A Central Framework…

"We are people of hope. Not wishes or plans. And, more than just hope. Deep hope."

This sentiment from the Teaching for Transformation (TFT) website expresses why teachers have answered the call to teach in a Christian school. It aligns with the desires that parents have as they enroll their children for Christian Education. It reflects the promises contained within our mission and vision statements and points toward each person's place in God’s story.

Teaching for Transformation helps to provide an intentional framework for faith integration in the classroom. And within TFT, the first question our teachers will ask themselves when they design learning experiences for their students is, “What is our deep hope?” This question will also guide us on our learning journey alongside other Christian schools.

At Central, we believe in being life-long learners. Through the development of Storylines, Throughlines, and Flex activities, our teachers will incorporate meaningful opportunities for students to practice serving in and building up the kingdom of God - not just in the classroom, but beyond.  We pray that through these learning experiences, the mentorship of our teaching staff, and the Teaching for Transformation framework, our students will be transformed into purposeful kingdom servants.
