Foundation

Central Minnesota Christian School benefits from donor generosity through the Central Foundation, which provides a stewardship opportunity to leave a legacy in support of Christian Education for generations to come.

The Central Foundation is a separate non-profit entity from the school, governed by its own board, bylaws, mission statement, and gifting cycle. The Foundation's Board of Directors annually distributes 6% on the 3-year average balance of the assets to support Central.

Our Purpose:

Since 1970, the Central Minnesota Christian School Foundation has existed to promote, accept, and manage gifts for the school's long-term sustainability. Gifts to the Foundation are invested to continue growth.

Our Current Efforts

The Foundation continues the “Live It Forward Campaign” with a goal of $12,000,000 total funds by completion of the efforts to provide a higher level of long-term support that broadly benefits the school. Historically, distributed funds were used to cover tuition deficits, and while it’s it the prerogative of the school to earmark funds as deemed best, the financial climate of Central is stable and delinquent tuition is at an unprecedented low. Therefore, the annual distribution is able to be applied for a holistic benefit of the school – from operational cost offset to tuition approach and staffing needs.

We are humbled by the support and God’s blessing through the generosity of donors. Currently, we are just shy of reaching the halfway mark to the overall goal! The nearly $4,000,000 of new funds received into the Foundation equates to over $300,000 available for distribution to Central…in just 2023 alone.

Our Future Focus

Continued efforts will be made to connect with individuals to share the opportunity to impact the school through gifting activity specifically earmarked for the Central Foundation. We’ve been inspired to see the creativity of donors willing to think about unique ways to structure gifts through land donation, estate gifts, one-time cash gifts, commitment of cash gifts over time, stock, etc. – or any combination of such to help us achieve our goal.
