Cross Country at Central
Cross Country is an amazing sport that lends itself to building discipline, friendships, faith, perseverance, and so much more.
Mission
To bring glory to God through team running. We will strive to develop a cohesive team where each person uses their God-given talents and their best effort through progressive training to create a greater whole than each individual person.
High School Cross Country
Our Cross Country team competes during the fall, with practices beginning mid-August and meets running through the end of October. Depending on participation numbers, Central offers students the opportunity to compete at the Varsity and Middle School levels. Our Cross Country Team competes in the Camden Conference, and a typical season includes 8-10 regular season meets.
Transportation is provided to all away events and practices, and uniforms are provided to all athletes, with the exception of running shoes.
Middle School Cross Country
The Middle School Cross Country team competes during the winter athletics season, with practices beginning on the first day of school, or otherwise at the coach’s request. A typical middle school season includes 5-6 meets during September and October.
Transportation is not provided for away events; however school does assist in organizing parent-provided transportation. Uniforms are provided, with the exception of running shoes.
