Share about your relationship with Christ
Jesus and his Kingdom work is why I became a teacher. In High school, I went to a mass band and played a version of the hymn "When Peace Like a River" with 400 other high school band students. Sitting in a gym full of joyful noise, all communicating and praising God together made me realize that I wanted to do that with my life. I'm passionate about creating  moments where students can recognize God's gifts of music, work, and community. 

How is Jesus taught in your classroom?
In the same way that God is our creator, he has given us a responsibility to develop our gifts and create beautiful work. We rehearse, revise, perform, and reflect on pieces of music and the stories they tell, the moods they embody, and the truths they express.
