I am the School Counselor

Fun Fact or something you like to do:
I am a graduate of Central and come from a long family line of Central students. My Grandma was a member of the first graduating class in 1957. Since then, many of my family members have attended Central, from my parents and siblings, Aunts, Uncles, and a countless number of cousins that stretch over four generations.

Share about your relationship with Christ
I grew up in a strong Christian family. We attended Bunde CRC, where I currently go with my husband and two sons. I am blessed to be involved there with Youth Group, Sunday School, etc. Faith and religion have always been part of my life. Coming to Central as an employee was definitely part of God’s plan and not mine. I had a good career that I enjoyed but I felt God pushing me to be here. He definitely created the way and I followed.

How is Jesus taught in your classroom?
Through my role at Central, I am able to develop close relationships with students and that has allowed for some deep conversations. I use these opportunities to share my faith and to encourage students to live a life that honors God.
