Share about your relationship with Christ
I always grew up believing in Jesus, but it became more evident once I got married and spent time in the Word, along with people who opened my eyes to how He was working in my life. When I had the opportunity to teach in Alaska, it helped me seek Him and learn how to live a life for Him. He placed me in the middle of nowhere without the comfort of my family.  I was surrounded by people who had a passion for Him and lived out their faith.  Their example of how they treated those around them impacted me and helped me appreciate my family's actions.  After he led me back home, I could better appreciate the legacy of my grandparents and how they lived their lives.  This has helped me to do my best to lead by example. He has led me on many paths that have helped shape me and the lives of my family.

How is Jesus taught in your classroom?
Jesus is taught through actions and words. I want my kids to feel Jesus's love being poured out through me to them, and I want them to learn about Him not only through the Bible and devotions, but also through reading, math, social studies, and science. I want kids to leave my room feeling more filled with the spirit for having been with me. I also want them to see that we are lifelong learners as I continue to learn and grow with them!
