I love to garden and spend time outdoors with my family! I also volunteer with the Haiti Literacy Program. 

Share about your relationship with Christ:
I grew up going to church with my family and started taking ownership of my Christian faith in middle school. Since childhood, music and my faith in Christ have been closely linked. Jesus prompts me to serve Him with my gifts, my time, and my profession. He asks me to follow Him even (especially) when I don't know the outcome. My life's greatest moments and best memories have come from when I've been following Him! 

How is Jesus taught in your classroom?:
Whenever I work with children, I try to teach with patience, understanding, and love. I encourage my students to treat each other with respect, acknowledging that each person is made in the image of God. In music class, students learn that using their gifts for God's glory isn't just what they're made to do, but it's fun, too!
